This is the second chapter of my PhD dissertion following the Prelude, which I already posted. (I am writing under the direction of Prof. Philip Urspung at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. My second reader is Prof. Andreas Langlotz at the University of Basel, Switzerland.)
The Chapters are permanently archived on my website here as well, but I am putting each chapter up on Sharkforum as I finish them. I would love your comments, criticism, tangential thoughts and more! Please be aware that by commenting here, you are giving me permission to use your words, with proper citation including your name, in some fashion in my final dissertation book and exhibition.
I originally intended to do the chapters in html, but have decided for pdf.

Dear Mark,
There cannot be many Zurich dissertations that are quite that creative and colorful! The last time I was in that city, there was a show of Mike Bidlo's at Bruno Bischopsberger. On the counter there was a stack of an essay by Joe Mashek, with the title Bidlo, Brillo, Warhol, Danto
where we sound like the Marx Brothers' leading competition. I menion that only because, contrary to Lydia, I think there was a great moment when the best problems in art were indistinguisbale for the best problems in the philosophy of art. When had that last happened in our tortured history?
I was thrilled to see the Brillo Logo, and am thinking of have some stationery printed up, like Jeffrey Deitch. I couldn't find my face, but I'll keep reading!
Thanks for letting read this!
Arthur
