What is there for me to think? I've been miffed since the day I met him. All of the fierce competitiveness, creativity and flat out hard work that goes into making a viable painting and then here comes the photographer, who with one click of the finger (don't strain yourself and break a sweat now! Careful! Don't snag that finger and get a hangnail!...Ouch!...) and Presto! An image! Hence, comes a name; 'THE FINGER'...

Seriously, Sandro Miller is one of the most talented image makers here in Chicago. Thursday night at Alan Koppels beautiful gallery is not only an opportunity to come out and support a good cause, but also a chance to view some very exciting, straightforward photography. No art dogma, no blurry crap image cibachromes blown up large scale, that anyone of us could take only we're so over them already, in otherwords, no pretentious junk, no viscous fluids emanating from anything, just some great, talented images, expertly realized.

Need The Shark remind you it is going to be a bash?

All proceeds from sales are being donated to Dance For Life -a program that fights AIDS and helps dancers with life threatening illnesses...

btw, if you want to read even more about Sandro Miller, checkout Leah Pietrusiak's article in this weeks Time Out -and if you STILL! aren't satiated there is also a rather (far too ) long, and far too flattering article written by Tori Marlan (why didn't she talk to me?! I'd be more than happy to dish the dirt and go to the dark side...) in The Reader where an unfortunate editorial mishap somehow put Sandro's article in section one and the beautiful photograph of my drawing at Blackbird in section 2...how could that happen?...as most sharkforum readers probably are aware of, sharks possess iron clad stomachs; so hear me when I say, this sickens me...
