One of our two Chief Founding Sharks, Wesley Kimler is featured in a hard-hitting and stimulating interview over at Bad at Sports.
As the wonderful folks there write, "Kimler (painter, agitator, and co-founder of http://www.sharkforum.org) slices and dices the Chicago art world. Ouch. Wesley gives us the skinny on being an artist in Chicago, who is ruining the Chicago art world, and what we can do to start turning it all around. The man is not afraid to name names and calls for the heads of many a Chicago Art world insider. Chicago, meet the "Shark." Lets hope we are not his foe."
Listen to the podcast and then join in the brawl at the comments section. It's raising some hackles and some important points. Bad at Sports is a wonderful addition to the Chicago artworld, a sterling model of self-made, yet professional, serious, yet delightful, art discussion — one which should be emulated elsewhere in the world.

Thanks for coming on the show!
wes, great discourse. i must say i enjoyed the comment about richard avedon and john currin's son's gonads. yes, i hope that was not the last photo either. i don't believe it was. i can only imagine what avedon was thinking as he took that photo & worked w/ currin... probably was glad it was over. anyway - empowering as always.
